What's Happening

Join us for fun summer adventures including scenic skyrides, hiking, downhill biking, and disc golf.  We are open 10am-4pm Thursday-Sunday.  Skyrides are scheduled for our enclosed gondola on Thursday and Sunday, and aboard our open-air chairlift on Friday and Saturday.  For the health and safety of all guests and staff, please review our Operational Updates page in advance of your visit.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Exciting new improvements underway for 20/21 include the replacement of both the High Peaks Chair and Sunway Chair with new quads and extended lift lines, redesign of the "Cutoff" trail to an easier-rated slope for beginners, and a reservoir expansion resulting in more water being pumped through our system and more snow covering your favorite trails!

August 6-9 Pod
August 5, 2020

Thanks for tuning in, this is Cindy with your More Gore podcast for Thursday-Sunday, August 6-9. We've got a warm and sunny forecast for the next four days with scenic skyrides and outdoor recreational activities open 10am-4pm. Gondola skyrides are scheduled for Thursday and Sunday, and the open-air chairlift on Friday & Saturday. Explore a variety of great hiking options for all abilities and scenic views with amazing photo opportunities, or bring your downhill mountain bike and helmet for adventures on our challenging lift-serviced terrain. Learn about the mountain and surrounding Adirondacks in free interpretive talks offered at 11am and 1pm at the top of the skyride each day we're open. Check out our popular new 9-hole disc golf course in the Base Area woods for a family-friendly adventure under a cool canopy of hardwoods. Tickets can be purchased online in advance that offer direct-to-lift access for scenic skyriders.

Keep in mind 20/21 season passes are available at the best prices until September 2, along with our free financing option. Passes include scenic skyrides, downhill biking, and a free round of disc golf this summer and fall, and they come with built-in bonus and discounted tickets, cross-country ski access, and many more great perks on the mountain and throughout the region. Learn more about our passes and find links to purchase at GoreMountain.com.

Our outdoor retail shop has all of your necessities available including hiking supplies, safety essentials, and Gore Mountain souvenirs and the Open Pit Grille is serving up summer favorites from their window on the spacious sundeck. You can dine on the deck or pick up a picnic basket lunch to take with you on the mountain. Show your 20/21 season pass for 10% off food and retail purchases too. Health and safety requirements include use of masks in ticket lines, skyride loading areas, throughout the gondola skyride experience, inside Northwoods and Saddle lodges, and whenever social distancing cannot be maintained. Please see the operational updates page on our website to review the full list of guidelines in advance of your visit. You can scope out our trail map and menu while you're there too. Also, be sure to fill your water bottles with fresh drinking water before you arrive.

Two new lifts are on the way! We’re replacing the Sunway & High Peaks Chairs with new quads that both extend farther up the mountain. Your next ride on our new High Peaks quad will deliver you to Gore's true summit with fresh access to the entire Straight Brook Valley and beyond. The new Sunway Chair will feature a conveyor-style loading area, improving the experience for everyone, especially beginners and families. We’ll be pumping more water through an even better snowmaking system this season, and we're modifying the Cutoff trail, previously rated more difficult to an easier-rated run that will improve and expand our learning area. Read more about all of these exciting updates on our Mountain Improvements page online.

Thank you so much for tuning in, we look forward to seeing you on the mountain.
