What's Happening

Due to severe wind chill factors today, we will be operating the lower mountain only and will add the gondola if and when winds allow.  Check back frequently for updates.  22" of beautiful snow on Sunday delivered a truly memorable day!  If you're out to grab your share of the fresh powder today, layer up well, stay hydrated, and stash some warmers and snacks in your pocket.  Check out our lodges on most or every run today to keep warm.  Groomers have been working hard to level out almost two feet of new snow- expect powder conditions again today!  Remember to grab your e-tickets in advance for excellent savings any day of the season!

Special Notes

Your lift ticket or season pass is valid at our Nordic Center and Village Slopes at the Ski Bowl, where today we will be hosting the USASA Border/Skiercross event. This exciting freestyle race begins at 11am. Because there is more midweek snow in the forecast, check out our weekend ski and stay packages for future mountain fun!  Safety reminder: Prior to using any lift,  need to know how to load, ride, and unload safely. Be sure to ask one of our friendly lift attendants if you have any questions. They are there to help. Today's Food Court lunch special is a Bacon Cheeseburger for $9.50 (passholders always save 20% off the special).

Podcast

January 20 Pod
January 19, 2019

Thank you so much for tuning in, this is Emily with your More Gore Podcast for Sunday January 20, Ski Day #61.

This anticipated winter storm is now underway- sort of a thin little snowfall that started around 1pm but hinting at all of the signs of big things to come!!  This will be a

true powdermaker with several glades anticipated for Sunday- those will be opening up throughout the day- we are bringing crews on early and will be opening terrain

as we get staff safely in place and trails evaluated.  Thanks for your patience as we will be going as quickly as possible- we want you playing in that powder just as soon

as we can.

Projected accumulations have increased to 13-22" expected- pretty wide range but any way you slice it that means tons of powder on the way for you to enjoy.  t we

are postponing our Fireworks and torchlight display due to the timing of this storm- new date on that annual party to be announced, I will be back in touch when that is

set.

Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas of blowing snow after noon. High near 13. Wind chill values as low as -12. Northeast wind 9 to 13 mph becoming

northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Trail count at 96 headed into Sunday serviced by every single lift we've got- groomers have one of their biggest schedules so far this season as we'll do our best to

blend the heavy overnight snowfall into our base but do expect areas of deep powder everywhere on Sunday.

So excited for all of these glades to open and everything else for that matter- from the sunway chair to the Ski Bowl- there's plenty of snow and terrain for everyone.

Use caution on the roadways- I know you always do, but give work trucks and plows plenty of space and time to do their thing and keep your travel and theirs as safe as

possible.  There will be plenty of snow whenever you get here and we've got skiing right through 8pm so don't hurry just get here.

Powder day tickets are for sale on our website- so you can cash in on great savings when you pick your dates in advance, or try a skier card for discounts on your

schedule whenever you can join us.

Live music in the Tannery from The Blonde Roots  3-6pm-  The conditions Powder and packed powder.

Safety plug about skiing glades: goggles, pole straps, ski with buddy.  Interconnect open again tomorrow

Chicken Parm Sandwich- $9.50 on the lunch special- passholders get 20% off.

Thank you so much for tuning in, and make it a great snow day out there!
