Special Notes

Planning ahead for a great place to stay while you hit up the slopes?  Cash in on a third day of skiing and night of lodging for free when you book an I Love NY Bonus Weekend package- this amazing 3-for-2 deal is only available February 1-2 and March 7-8!  Friday's food court lunch special is a haddock fish fry with fries for $12- passholders save 20% off the daily lunch special as part of your long list of perks!  Safety reminder: Riding the lift with kids?  Load so the smallest one is located between you and the lift attendant.  Slide on into the Ski Bowl for a little extra fun and fitness during the evening- our Nordic Center is open daily until 8pm and the Village Chair is also spinning until 8pm today through Sunday for downhill fun!

January 23, 2020

Thank you so much for tuning in, this is Cindy with your More Gore Podcast for Friday, January 24, Ski Day #63.

We are in the midst of Take Your Kids to Gore Week- ages 19 & under ski or ride free with a full-paid parent, and so it's an ideal week for both weather and value to get out and enjoy the prime mid-winter conditions we've got going. Today will be quite comfortable outside- partly sunny, with a high near 37 and light and variable wind. Start your weekend a day early and find easy cruising and well-groomed, less-traveled slopes- enjoy the views and serenity that true Adirondack skiing is all about.

52 trails are planned to open today, look for 10 lifts spinning including the Village Chair open at the Ski Bowl under the lights from 3-8pm.

There's packed powder and machine groomed surfaces out there- plenty of loose granular throughout the mountain too. Snowmakers are hammering away on Echo so experts should note that after some fun laps on Sagamore you'll need to exit Burnt Ridge to the North Quad via the Hedges trail.

Our chef's favorite hand-breaded haddock fish fry with fries and tartar sauce for $12- passholders always save 20% off the daily lunch special.

January is Safety Awareness Month- remember that green, blue, and black ratings are made in respect to other terrain at Gore, not other mountains you might have visited. If you're not familiar with the mountain start small and work your way up.

Enjoy awesome value this weekend in our one and two-day ladies clinics- you can do Saturday full day or Saturday & Sunday options that include breakfast and lunch, awesome instruction, and lift tickets! Or, if you already have a your ticket but want to spend Saturday morning with other ladies and get some women-specific tips and training, try our Saturday morning clinic only option.

Lifts open 8:30am at the latest. Keep in mind the Village Chair and Nordic Center are both open at the Ski Bowl until 8pm and your lift ticket or season pass includes these fun twilight activities.

Thank so much again for tuning in and make it a great snow day!
