22" of beautiful snow on Sunday delivered a truly memorable day!  We have tons of glades open all over the mountain.  Be advised of today's cold forecast as the strong storm moves out and leaves low temperatures and blustery northwest winds behind.  If you're out to grab your share of the fresh powder today, layer up well, stay hydrated, and stash some warmers and snacks in your pocket.  Check out our lodges on most or every run today to keep yourself warm- the upper level of the Saddle Lodge is a particularly comfortable place to get cozy while enjoying the views!  Groomers have been working hard to level out almost two feet of new snow- expect powder conditions again for Monday.  High Peaks Area skiers- plan to exit that area via Wood Out and down to the North Quad.  Remember to grab your e-tickets in advance and save yourself some time and money.

Special Notes

Don't forget, your lift ticket or season pass is valid at our Nordic Center and Village Slopes at the Ski Bowl, where tomorrow we will be hosting the USASA Border/Skiercross event. This exciting freestyle race begins at 11am. Because there is more midweek snow in the forecast, check out our weekend ski and stay packages for future mountain fun!  Safety reminder: Prior to using any lift,  need to know how to load, ride, and unload safely. Be sure to ask one of our friendly lift attendants if you have any questions. They are there to help. Today's Food Court lunch special is a Bacon Cheeseburger for $9.50 (passholders always save 20% off the special).

Scenic Gondola Rides

Information below for Summer/Fall 2018

Our scenic skyrides are a great way to spend a half hour at Gore or the entire day.  Enjoy stunning views of the High Peaks and Southern Adirondacks, and take the opportunity to hike and picnic.  2018-2019 season passes include free gondola skyrides and lift-serviced hiking/biking this summer and fall.  Be sure to check out our independent and staff-led interpretive hikes, the Hardwood Forest Loop is located in the Base Area and the Alpine Sky Loop is at the top of Bear Mountain near where the gondola unloads.  Excellent photo opportunities- have fun!

Free Interpretive Walks

Led by our experienced staff, take a 1-hour group walk on the Alpine Sky Loop. The route begins and ends at the top of the Northwoods Gondola. Your interpreter will be happy to discuss local vegetation, the history of Gore Mountain, and facts about the surrounding views. Free for all ticketed guests and season passholders. Mountaintop departure times are 11am and 1pm.

Enjoy a relaxing stroll through our stone labyrinth, located where the Alpine Sky Loop interpretive trail intersects Fairview!  Labyrinths are ancient patterns over 4,000 years old, and walking them has been known to help quiet the mind and offer relaxation, balance, and well-being.
