2018-2019 season passes include gondola access for scenic skyrides and hiking/biking this summer and fall!
FREE INTERPRETIVE WALKS - every weekend through September 30
Led by our experienced staff, take a 1-hour group walk on the Alpine Sky Loop. The route begins and ends at the top of the Northwoods Gondola. Your interpreter will be happy to discuss local vegetation, the history of Gore Mountain, and facts about the surrounding views. Free for all ticketed guests and season passholders. Mountaintop departure times are 11am and 1pm.
INDEPENDENT INTERPRETIVE HIKES - trails open on weekends through October 7
All scenic gondola riders may also enjoy independent hikes available in both the Base Area and Bear Mountain Summit at the top of the Northwoods Gondola. Our "eco-loops" are designed for approximately a 30-min walk, and offer interpretive signage to keep you on track, as well as some education if you're interested!
Take a relaxing stroll through our labyrinth, located near the top of Bear Mountain where the Alpine Sky Loop interpretive trail intersects Fairview. Labyrinths are ancient patterns over 4,000 years old, and walking them has been known to help quiet the mind and offer relaxation, balance, and well-being.
Please be sure to sign in and grab a copy of the map from the Northwoods Lodge information desk before you head out on the mountain!
