Snowmaking

Mother Nature has been dressing up the mountain in little helpings of early season snow, and snowmakers are at work as weather allows.  They'll be piling it up on Showcase, throughout the Base Area, on Bear Cub, and at the Ski Bowl.  As soon as we have our Opening Day information confirmed, it will be posted right here- we are very excited to turn your lifts on and start another fun winter!  We have completed a major makeover to our snowmaking system, which now features a new pump house and pipe, an increase in water pumping capacity of 42% (that's 2,000 MORE gallons of water per minute), the latest automation technologies, and 397 new guns.  We are also busily finishing a two-story addition to the Base Lodge which has doubled the size of the Tannery Pub.  The new space downstairs offers more room for lockers and our popular season-long children's programs.  

Special Notes

The best prices for 18-19 season passes are available through November 26- our passes include tons of perks both on and off the mountain, including great discounts at other ski areas this winter!  Frequent skier cards and Snow Sampler 4-packs are also on sale- buy yours online today!  Join our team this winter- we're hiring in several departments and are also looking for Mountain Host volunteers!

Carve Course with Timing

Try your tucks and turns out on Gore's complimentary Carve Course on The Arena. Skiers and snowboarders can practice ‘turn on demand skills’ to learn how to carve effectively.  The course is timed for you to enjoy some fun, friendly competition!  Watch your time improve, then join one of our open events and see how much the Carve Course has enhanced your skills!
