Welcome to a rockin' MLK weekend!  We've got gorgeous conditions and beautiful coverage, and of course we are gearing up for another dump of natural snow starting up late this afternoon.  Our talented grooming staff has skillfully blended Thursday's 5" accumulation into a carpet of crisp corduroy to get your weekend started in style with vast amounts of terrain to explore!  Several of your favorite summit steeps are back in action today- snowmakers wrapped up overnight on Lies, Chatiemac, and Headwaters- you can check out the newest snow there mid-morning.  During the day, snowmakers will be powering away on Lower Sleighride, Wild Air, Pot Luck, The Arena, and Ski Bowl terrain.  Make sure to hit up Burnt Ridge Mountain on today's adventure- the North Side and High Peaks are open too!

MLK Fireworks & Holiday Weekend Fun!

Gather with the crowds on the sundeck Sunday at dusk and watch as the Base Area is illuminated by a fantastic torch parade and fireworks display!  Celebrate with apres-ski fun in the Tannery Pub & Restaurant with live music from John Stack 3-6pm on Saturday and The Blonde Roots 4-7pm on Sunday! Enjoy awesome holiday savings when you combine your lift tickets and lodging- check out our MLK Holiday Weekend ski & stay packages to find a great deal on a cozy place to rest after fun days of celebration on the mountain!

This Weekend We're Hosting The Mid-Atlantic Junior National Qualifiers

We're hosting about 400 racers for classic distance races on Saturday morning, and expect around 90 athletes in Sunday morning's skate races!  This season will mark the third year Gore has held a Junior National Qualifier weekend. Hosted by HURT Nordic and part of the NYSSRA Nordic (New York State Ski Racing Associated) race series, there will also be Senior and Master age categories as part of each race day.  Come out and watch these exciting events - the stadium layout makes these events fun for spectators and athletes. Trails will open for recreational use during the afternoon and evening both days.

A Clinic Just For Women- January 25-26!

Lady skiers & snowboarders ages 18+ team up with some of our best female instructors for the weekend- work on your personal skiing/riding goals and on-snow challenges among other ladies of similar ability.   These clinics are uniquely tailored to women of all skill levels from beginner to advanced.  Lift tickets, meals, equipment discussions, lots of time on the snow, great feedback from our certified instructors, and a complimentary wine & cheese party are all included with our 1 & 2-day options! 

Take Your Kids To Gore Week Starts Tuesday!

Ages 19 and under ski or ride FREE with a full-paying parent all week!  Keep in mind this promotion also includes our cross-country ski and snowshoe network at the North Creek Ski Bowl all week, and the Village Chair when available too!

January Is National Safety Awareness Month

Safety is a top priority at Gore. Familiarize yourself with the NSAA's Responsibility Code- these basic tips make for a fun and safe day out on the mountain. Quick Tip: If you need to stop along a trail, do so off to the side and where you are easily seen from above.

Charge your car as you re-charge on the mountain.
