An authentic Adirondack great camp built 70+ years ago by architect John Bird Burnham, this camp was designed for maximum privacy and makes the perfect family hide out. It is securely nestled within tall pine trees at the end of a long windy mountain lane.
This log cabin has a large front porch overlooking the mountains. The main family room is anchored by a large garnet fireplace. There are five spacious bedrooms each with access to a full bathroom and can easily accommodate 20 people. This log homes has been fully restored to preserve all its original features. It is comfortable and spacious. There is a private studio a short distance from the main house. This has one bedroom with a private bath with 180 degree views of the mountains.
Enjoy a true historic gem. This is the first time that it is available to the public for rental. The Owl's Nest has public access to 13th Lake which is a beautiful crystal clear lake ideal for swimming and canoeing. This is a great lake for fishing and boating. The Owl's Nest has access to the Garnet Hill Trail system with extensive hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing in winter, and an abundance of fauna and wildlife.
