The the colder temps are staying with us tonight- snowmakers and groomers are on the move with efforts to turn the terrain around as quickly as possible!   Be aware of areas of thin cover and bare spots, keep your speed low, and as always, have fun while skiing with care.  Some areas/trails may open later in the day.  Our Women Only Ski and Snowboard Clinics are happening this Saturday and Sunday- clinics include tickets, meals, instruction, and celebration, and we encourage ladies of all ability levels to take advantage of this value-packed deal.  For a limited time, we are excited to be distributing our Ski Bowl Illustration poster- it's free for passholders and $10 for everyone else!  Check out the details.

Special Notes

Snowmakers are on the job, with efforts focused on the top of Bear Mountain, throughout Sunway, Foxlair, Bear Cub Run, and the Ski Bowl.  Friday's Food Court Lunch Special is a tasty Tuna Melt Panini for $9.  Or, take a break mid-mountain in the beautiful Saddle Lodge which serves food- including their delicious pulled pork or chicken tacos and cold or warm beverages.  While there, take in the stunning views of the Adirondacks!  Safety Tip: If you are merging onto a trail, be sure to look uphill and yield to others.  Please note, Echo and Crystal will be open for racing only today.

Season-Long Teen Programs

For intermediate and advanced skiers and riders, ages 13-15.

Instructor in Training

  • For skiers & snowboarders (ages 13-15), intermediate to advanced ability levels
  • Program meets 9am-3:30pm, every Saturday & Sunday, December 16-March 18 (no program December 23-24)
  • $415 - Includes lift ticket on program days
  • $615 - Includes a 17/18 SKI3 season pass

Learn skills and knowledge required to become a ski or snowboard instructor, while improving your skiing or riding.  Discover technical components of skiing/riding, what to teach, how to teach children, and how to promote safety while having fun in lessons and programs.  Lunch is not included.  In additon to the dates listed above, participants are invited to volunteer two midweek days during our holiday periods.  Participants must be 13-15 yrs old on or before December 1, 2017.

Gore Teen X-Treme Season-Long Program

  • For skiers & snowboarders (ages 13-15), intermediate to advanced ability levels
  • Program meets 8:30am-3:30pm, every Saturday & Sunday, December 2-March 18 (no program December 23-24 or February 17-18)
  • Includes 16/17 SKI3 season pass, equipment storage in the Rumor Mill Clubhouse, and lunch on program days
  • With Lunch  $1,441 until 11/17/17, or $1,556 after
  • Without Lunch  $1,186 until 11/17/17, or $1,301 after
  • Parents, ask about joining our four-week adult program that coincides with your teen's lessons, starting in early January.

Teens in our season-long program explore all aspects of skiing and riding at Gore Mountain.  Switch it up- skiers can try snowboarding; snowboarders can try skiing.  Work on terrain park skills, try racing in the gates, explore our Skier/BoarderX, and ski or ride bumps, glades and more!  All-day coaching and daily fun-filled adventures will build a strong foundation of skills required to enjoy our spectacular terrain.  Safety and fun are emphasized daily.  Practice for our upcoming events with your coaches.

4-Week Lesson Program for Parents

We're offering parents of kids participating in our multi-week programs a 4-week adult 90-minute class lesson program that coincides with children's lesson days at 10am.  Parent programs meet Saturdays, January 20-February 10 OR Sundays, January 21-February 11. 
$143 includes 4 lessons.  Check out our frequent skier cards & e-tickets for lift ticket savings!

Please note that all lesson programs require participants (ages 17 & under) to be wearing a helmet. If you purchase your program with rentals, a helmet is included in the package.
