After a terrific Opening Weekend, we look forward to welcoming you back for the start of our daily operations on Friday, November 24! Both downhill and cross-country skiing terrain will be open. Until then, have a fun and safe Thanksgiving and know our snowmakers are working around the clock as weather allows to bring you more trails for Friday. Guns are going on beginner terrain, Foxlair, Wild Air, Ruby Run, and Nordic loops at the North Creek Ski Bowl. Give the gift of Gore this holiday season- we have gift cards available in any denomination that never expire, 4-packs of transferable tickets for easy giving, and frequent skier cards for every member of the family.
Early Season Schedule: CLOSED Monday-Thursday, 11/20-24. OPEN DAILY FOR THE SEASON: 11/24/17.
We are excited about extensive renovations to three of our lodges! The size of the Saddle Lodge has doubled and more dining will be available there this winter. Meanwhile, the original 1967 gondola unloading station at Gore's summit has been transformed into the new Straight Brook Lodge- it's beautiful. We're also expanding the rental shop, children's program center, and restrooms of the Northwoods Lodge.
Thank you for tuning in, this is Emily with your More Gore snow report for Sunday, November 19, Ski Day #2.
So nice to have an early opening and today we're back at it with Showcase for for intermediates and experts- no beginner terrain quite yet but that is coming soon. Look for that machine made surface mixing in with some
wetter and warmer weather on Sunday than we had on Saturday, winds are picking up a bit so we'll be hitting the pause button just temporarily on the snowmaking. Guns have gotten a good head start on Lower Sleighride,
Wild Air, Arena- that run did open quite late in the day Saturday but just in case the weather catches up to it, we're going to leave it off Sunday's plans. Snowmakers have also been busy on several other trails including
Foxlair, Jamboree, Ruby Run and we've got a pretty nice forecast coming into the week ahead so we can anticipate some more stuff coming your way when daily operations get going on Friday.
A nice handful of Terrain park features are on Bear Cub Run- that area for freestyle only just these first two days of the season, walkup for that.
Adirondack Express II planned to open 8:30am- Bring us a non-perishable food item for our annual drive and you are in for just $45 for adults, $32 for teens and seniors, and $23 for juniors on Opening Day.
For Opening Weekend- pick up your season passes and frequent skier cards in the Base Lodge- you can do that at either the Corduroy Cafe or the Mid-Lodge Desk. Food will be served today in the Tannery and at the Base
Lodge Food Court. The Snow Sports School is ready as well as daycare, and rentals and tuning/repair services are open in the Northwoods Lodge- the Northwoods Lodge is only open for rentals and tuning .
While Gore Mountain plans to be closed Monday-Thursday, November 20-23, daily operations for both downhill and Nordic skiing are anticipated to begin on Friday, November 24.
You can be one of the first to visit the new Saddle Lodge, offering a new space for warming up and restrooms these first few days of the season.
Thanks again for calling, and make it a great snow day!
