We are excited to welcome back winter temperatures overnight Saturday, and groomers will be very busy on all mountain peaks!  Sunday's forecast notes more blustery weather; should winds delay any lifts, we will note that on this trail report as updates occur.  Be sure to look for the trail count rebounding over the coming days!  Relax apres-ski in the Tannery- live music begins at 1pm, or enjoy our full service menu available at 11am.  March 4-5 is an I Love NY Bonus Weekend- pair your 3-day lift ticket starting Friday or Saturday with 3 nights of lodging from $198 per person!   Be aware of recent weather changes, as always have fun while skiing with care.

Special Notes

Please note that Echo & Crystal are open for racing only- good luck to all athletes in their U19 State Championships!  Sunday's food court lunch special is a chicken sandwich topped with provolone and bacon for $9, or grab a treat from our new waffle window at the Open Pit Grille!  On Monday and Tuesday, we are honored to be welcome New York's best nordic racers to the NYSPHSAA Nordic Championships at the North Creek Ski Bowl!  Safety reminder on the slopes:  All green circle trails are also slow zones.  Please reduce your speed and give beginners plenty of room to learn in these areas.

Safety Reminders

Keep these items in mind for fun and safety on our slopes!

Safety is a top priority at Gore.  Always remind yourself of the Responsibility Code below- these basic tips make for a fun and safe day out on the mountain.

Seven Points to Your Responsibility Code

1. Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.
2. People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.
3. You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.
4. Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
5. Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
6. Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
7. Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.

Using our freestyle areas?  Please note the quick points below and spend a moment watching the Smart Style video.

  • START SMALL - Work your way up. Build your skills.
  • MAKE A PLAN - Every feature. Every time.
  • ALWAYS LOOK - Before you drop.
  • RESPECT - The features and other users.
  • TAKE IT EASY - Know your limits. Land on your feet.

Bringing the kids? Have a plan should you get separated.  If they get lost, children should go to the base of the nearest lift and let the attendant know.

Safety first. Orient yourself to our patrol station locations and program our daytime emergency number into your phone: (518) 251-3838.

Sorry, drones are not permitted at Gore.
