Yay- it's the official start of the season!  The Northwoods Gondola & Adirondack Express II is open for intermediate and expert levels, while the Snow Train conveyor lift will be open for beginners.  Both downhill and cross-country skiing will be open 8:30am-4pm.  Also check out terrain park features throughout Lower Sleighride!  Give the gift of Gore this holiday season- we have gift cards available in any denomination that never expire, 4-packs of transferable tickets for easy giving, and frequent skier cards for every member of the family.

Special Notes

With the donation of one or more non-perishable food items per person, Friday's prices are $53 for adults, $39 for teens and seniors, and $29 for juniors.

We are excited about extensive renovations to three of our lodges!  The size of the Saddle Lodge has doubled and more dining will be available there this winter.  Meanwhile, the original 1967 gondola unloading station at Gore's summit has been transformed into the new Straight Brook Lodge- it's beautiful.  We're also expanding the rental shop, children's program center, and restrooms of the Northwoods Lodge.

Get some pointers on how to develop your balance – it's much different than alpine skiing! As coaches give you some tasks, we'll grab some video* of your skiing that will allow you to see your style, while keeping it fun and safe. Now you know what the free-heelin' excitement is all about!

Noon: Break for lunch– fuel up with homemade soup, a deli sandwich, gourmet salad, slice of pizza, or one of Chef Mary's daily specials!

12:45-3:30  Back out on the hill!  More turns makes more fun!  Get the timing of your weight transfer and your pole swing.  Tele turns are a lot easier than they look!  Your coach will take you on new trails to ski terrain with more comfort and ease, while enjoying this new learned snow sport.

3:30  Celebrate your day with a wine & cheese party!

Sunday, Day 2

8:30  Check in with your instructors, and enjoy breakfast!

Noon: Break for lunch– fuel up with homemade soup, a deli sandwich, gourmet salad, slice of pizza, or one of Chef Mary's daily specials!

12:45-3:30  Back out on the hill for more fun and more trails to explore.  Maybe you are ready for some synchronized skiing to end the day – fun for all, skiing in someone else’s turn pattern while adjusting your pace to keep the rhythm and flow.
