Gore Mountain is operated by the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA). Originally created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid, ORDA currently operates venues in North Creek, Lake Placid, and Highmount, NY. The assistance and support of both state and local offices has allowed ORDA to invest in significant upgrades and modernization of its facilities.
