Thanks so much to our guests, staff, and the Town of Johnsburg for another terrific season on the snow!  We had so much fun having you here during our 142-day season.  SKI3 passholders, our sister mountain Whiteface plans to be open April 28-29 so head there for more late-season turns.   We will back in touch soon on new improvement projects to make the 18/19 winter even better, as well as plenty of summer/fall activities and events to keep you busy until we open again in November.  Thanks again, we'll be missing you and working hard on next season!

Wow, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful weekend to end our season- with sun, snow, friends, and amazing views all around.  Congratuations to our Pond Skimmers (results below) and thanks everyone for joining such a terrific season with us.

Pond Skimming Contest Results Are In!

Our annual Pond Skimming Contest drew dozens of competitors donning their best pond costumes and displaying their ultimate skimming/splash skills in this goofy snow-to-waterski event.  Thanks so much for joining us, Skimmers!

Let the Sun Shine!

Did you know that Gore has the largest solar array dedicated to a ski resort in the United States?  We are actively involved in preserving future winters for generations of skiers to come- while we turn sunlight into snow!  Our arrays are located on 20 acres with 14,589 ground-mounted solar panels which offset our own energy use and create clean power in our region.  

The Hudson River Whitewater Derby

The 61st Annual Hudson River Whitewater Derby is on Saturday and Sunday, May 5 & 6!  This cherished event started in 1958 to celebrate the area's history of logging.  The Derby is one of the oldest continually running whitewater race events in the country.
